Yesterday a Brush fire started and ended up burning over 30,000 acres. High winds yesterday caused the smoke to drift clear over to us. We just sat and watched as a large dark brown cloud of smoke slowly over took our area. South and East of us was the edge of the giant cloud were it was blue and sunny. I had been jogging along the river and when I got done I ran home and grabbed my camera. For this was a site that we would probably never see again. The sun shone through the smoke and was blood red at times. There was an illuminating yellow glow that seemed to engulf everything and made it so vivid. It was spectacular and beautiful. Here are some of the pictures I took.
