Well this year has been good for chokecherries...I almost thought we had waited to long before picking but we found quite a few. We've picked about 4 1/2 gallons over the last 2 days and boy are the cherries large this year. I can't believe how big they are...I hope they give me lots of juice. My 2 yr old was eating them and then I was told that the pits are poisoness...lovely...I'm sure she did not spit them out...luckily no ill effects have come from her eating them. I can't wait to make yummy yummy chokecherry syrup.
